Verve Recovery & Mobility: Stretch, Recover, Move

Recovery doesn't have to start only when something hurts.

Sometimes, recovery means taking care of your body between training sessions. Sometimes it means maintaining mobility as you get older. Sometimes it means having a structured way to move, stretch and decompress after a demanding week.

That's why we created Verve Recovery & Mobility at Verve Movement in Westboro, Ottawa.

The program brings together three complementary wellness-based services:

Fascia Stretch Therapy + Normatec Compression Therapy + Verve Integrated Movement Training.

Together, they provide options for people who want to prioritize mobility, movement and recovery as part of their ongoing routine.

What is Verve Recovery & Mobility?

The program is designed around a simple idea:

Your body needs more than treatment when you're injured—and more than workouts when you're training.

Recovery and movement can exist between the two.

Depending on your goals, a session may incorporate:

Fascia Stretch Therapy

Fascia Stretch Therapy is a table-based assisted stretching approach focused on flexibility and mobility.

A practitioner guides you through assisted stretches designed around your individual areas of restriction and mobility goals.

Normatec Compression Therapy

Normatec uses pneumatic compression technology to provide sequential compression to the limbs.

It can be incorporated into a recovery routine, particularly for people who enjoy compression following training or physical activity.

Verve Integrated Movement Training

Verve IMT combines personal training, Pilates principles, yoga mobility and functional strength work.

Rather than simply stretching or passively recovering, Verve IMT gives you an opportunity to actively build strength, stability, mobility and movement confidence.

Why combine recovery and movement?

Stretching, compression and movement serve different purposes.

That's exactly why they can complement one another.

You might use Fascia Stretch Therapy when mobility and assisted stretching are your priority.

You might choose Normatec when you're looking for a compression-based recovery session.

You might choose IMT when you want to actively work on strength, mobility and movement.

Or you may combine different services depending on your goals.

There isn't one perfect recovery routine.

Recovery isn't just for athletes

You don't need to train for a marathon or compete in a sport to benefit from making recovery and mobility part of your routine.

You may spend most of your day sitting at a desk.

You may be getting back into exercise.

You may be lifting weights, running or playing recreational sports.

Or you may simply want to maintain your mobility and physical activity as you get older.

Recovery can be part of an active lifestyle at any level.

Where does Verve Recovery & Mobility fit within Verve?

This is where Verve's multidisciplinary model becomes particularly valuable.

Imagine a client arrives at Verve with an injury.

They may initially see a regulated healthcare practitioner, such as a chiropractor, physiotherapist or registered massage therapist, depending on their needs.

Their care may include assessment, treatment, education and an appropriate rehabilitation or return-to-activity plan.

As their needs change, their goals may change too.

Once they no longer require clinical rehabilitation, they may want to continue working on their mobility, strength and recovery.

That's where Verve Recovery & Mobility can become part of their routine.

From treatment to maintenance

We don't believe every client needs to stay in treatment indefinitely.

In fact, the goal of good care should often be to help people become more confident managing their bodies and their activity.

A client's journey might look something like:

1. Injury or concern
Start with an appropriate regulated healthcare practitioner.

2. Assessment & care
Address the current issue and establish an appropriate plan.

3. Rebuild
Gradually restore movement, strength and physical capacity.

4. Transition
Move from clinical rehabilitation toward wellness and fitness when appropriate.

5. Maintain & move
Use services such as Verve IMT, Fascia Stretch Therapy and Normatec as part of an ongoing movement and recovery routine.

Not everyone follows this exact path—and not everyone needs every service.

The point is that your needs can change over time.

A different way to think about recovery

Recovery doesn't have to mean lying on a treatment table until you're ready to exercise again.

And exercise doesn't have to mean ignoring recovery.

There's a middle ground.

Move. Recover. Repeat.

The Verve Recovery & Mobility Program is designed to support that middle ground through personalized, wellness-based movement and recovery services.
