Colin Du

Registered Acupuncturist

Colin is a Registered Acupuncturist (R. Ac) who has been practicing acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine since 2013. Born and raised in Ottawa, he grew up in a family-run TCM clinic, where early exposure to the medicine shaped his interest in health and healing long before beginning formal studies.

He holds an Honours Bachelor of Health Science and is registered with the College of Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners and Acupuncturists of Ontario (CTCMPAO).

Colin approaches each patient through two complementary lenses: the principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine and a modern understanding of anatomy, physiology, and biomechanics. Integrating these perspectives allows him to form a more complete picture of a patient’s concerns and the various factors that may be influencing how they feel.

This means looking beyond isolated symptoms. For pain, this may involve assessing surrounding muscles, joints, nerves, and movement patterns. For concerns such as stress, sleep, digestion, or fatigue, treatment may consider broader patterns involving the body’s systems, daily habits, and overall well‑being.

His treatments are individualized and may include acupuncture, cupping, and manual techniques, along with simple exercises or strategies patients can use between appointments when appropriate.

Colin believes acupuncture should feel approachable rather than mysterious. A central part of his practice is helping patients understand their concerns, the reasoning behind their treatment, and how Traditional Chinese Medicine can complement a modern approach to health and wellness.
