What is Verve Movement?
I’m new — where should I start?
Most new clients begin with an initial assessment in the service area that best matches their needs (Massage Therapy, Acupuncture, Physiotherapy, or Kinesiology). During your first visit, your practitioner will assess your movement, discuss your goals, and create a personalized plan. Not sure which service you need? Reach out to us and we’ll help you book a consultation with a practitioner who can recommend the best option.
Do I need a referral?
No referral is required to book any service at Verve Movement. However, some insurance plans may require one for reimbursement.
What should I bring to my first appointment?
Comfortable clothing you can move in
Any relevant medical history or imaging reports
How long is the first session?
Initial assessments typically run longer than follow‑up sessions to allow time for evaluation, treatment, and planning. This may range from 60-90 minutes.
Is parking available?
Verve Movement is located at 341 Richmond Rd, 2nd Floor, Suite B2, Ottawa, with nearby parking options available.

For New Clients
How do I book a follow‑up appointment?
Returning clients can easily book online through our Jane booking system.
Can I switch practitioners or services?
Absolutely. Many clients benefit from a multidisciplinary approach. You’re welcome to explore different services or practitioners based on your evolving goals.
How often should I come in?
Your practitioner will recommend a treatment frequency based on your goals, your plan, and how your body responds over time. Some clients come weekly, others bi‑weekly, others monthly, and some on an as‑needed basis.
Booking consistently — and booking ahead — helps ensure you can secure appointments with your preferred practitioner for your preferred service. It also supports steady progress by keeping your care regular and aligned with your long‑term goals, whether you're focused on recovery, maintenance, or performance.

What is your cancellation, late‑cancellation, and no‑show policy?
7
What is your cancellation, late‑cancellation, and no‑show policy?
We require at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment. This allows our practitioners to offer the time slot to another client.
Late Cancellations
If you cancel with less than 24 hours’ notice, a cancellation fee equal to the full cost of the appointment will be charged to the card on file.
No‑Shows
If you miss your appointment without notice, the full appointment fee will be charged to the card on file.
Repeated Misses
Multiple late cancellations or no‑shows may result in restricted booking privileges.
Exceptions
We understand emergencies happen. Exceptions may be made at our sole discretion, but these do not set a precedent for future appointments.
By booking your first appointment with Verve, you agree to this policy.
